Trust that does not start from zero
Every day, people in Kenya prove who they are over and over: for a bank account, a job, a loan, a SIM card. We are building the rails so they only have to do it once.
Trust in Kenya is stored in silos: paper files, institutional databases and registries that do not speak to each other. Every verification starts from zero.
The result of the last check is locked inside the institution that did it, so the cost is paid again in fees, delays, fraud and exclusion.
SSI TrustChain replaces that cycle. Institutions sign what they already know to be true, people carry it, and anyone can check it. Where a statutory regulator already keeps an official register, TrustChain builds on its authority rather than duplicating it.
We are building for Kenya first, on open standards for decentralised identifiers and verifiable credentials, so the same credentials can travel across Africa.
What we hold ourselves to
No personal data on the network
Names, ID numbers and dates of birth stay in the holder's wallet. The network holds fingerprints and events.
Two people for every big decision
Accreditation, suspension and key changes need two TrustChain approvers, and every one is in a hash-chained audit log.
Open standards
Decentralised identifiers and verifiable credentials, so nobody is locked in to us.
Work with us
Institutions, regulators and partners: we would like to hear from you.
